One of my favorite music group is Shiny Toy Guns. I really love Chad Petree’s vocals and Jeremy Dawson keyboard playing. I like the overall synthetic feel of their music. Plus, I like the addition of the female vocalist whether it be Carah or Sisely. I think both of them are really good singers, they might sing differently but they are both good. My favorite song has always been “You Are The One.” That’s the first video. Second video is a fan video which I really like. The song is called “Stripped.” I love the girl’s movement throughout the video.
You Are The One (First song I heard from STG)
Stripped (It’s actually a cover from a Depeche Mode and I like both versions)
I promised the Good Charlotte concert and I will half-deliver. It was during spring break and I was in San Francisco at The Regency Ballroom. It was really fun but then again, concerts are meant to be fun and entertaining. Forever the Sickest Kids was supposed to opened for them but they were replace by This Century. They were good but I have never heard of them before.
Following This Century was a local band called The Relay Company. It was so weird cause I was not expecting a second band to play. Not only that but the band was moving around the instruments and setting up to do the concert. At first, I thought they were crew members. They were really good. I did not know any of the songs but I loved them. As soon as the concert was over, I bought their CD. It is a really good album “Love Me, Hate Me” and constantly plays in my apartment. The songs I enjoyed the most are Marco Polo, Remedy, and Next Floor . This is where the sad part happens. I got bumped into and I was not expecting it. I dropped my camera and the screen went white. Now, it does not work. So sad.
I absolutely have no pictures of Good Charlotte to show. However, I can say that Good Charlotte had a great interaction with the audience. Benji and Joel kept the crowd entertain with stories and little comic, sibling interactions. Some of the songs they played were Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, I Just Wanna Live, Emotionless (acoustic), Dance Floor Anthem, The Anthem, Like It’s Her Birthday, Hold On, Girls and Boys and so many more. I absolutely had a great time and so did my brother.
Rocking Saturday is proud to present you The Vaccines. They are an alternative band from the UK. So far, I’m really liking their music. I couldn’t find an AMV for them so that’s why I said in the first Rocking Saturday, that I was going to try to find one. Sometimes I succeed, other times I fall miserably.
Blow It Up is a live performance. The song reminds me of a 60’s song or similar to The Ramones (well, some songs).
Post Break Up Sex is not the official video but it’s a live performance. I prefer not to watch commercials so that’s why it’s not the official video but it’s still really good.
Plus, they have their debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? coming out soon on March 21, 2011.
Neko Case is an alternative singer-songwriter. This is her video “People Got A Lotta Nerve” from her album Middle Cyclone. I thought the video was really unique especially the monkeys.
